The Blue Mosque
Sultan Ahmet I Camii Mosque is more popularly known as the blue mosque. Built between 1609 and 1616.
It was an attempt by the Ottomans to outdo the Hagia Sophia which exists a couple of hundred metres away.
Unable to match the great dome of Hagia Sophia the Blue Mosque is nevertheless a beatiful building with
incredible tile work inside.
