Zugspitze

The Zugspitze is Germany's highest mountain at 2900 metres

There is a large complex right at the very top

The Zugspitze is also in Austria and the border runs right though the top of the mountain You can see the Austrian flag on the building to the right

Below the summit is the skiing area

This lake is called the Eibsee, look closely at the green in the water The water that runs off the glacier has a nice green colour to it

Back at ground level here is a close up of the Eibsee, notice the green colour of the fresh water
