High Falls

High Falls is the highest and most impressive falls around Manitouwadge

High Falls is located on the Pic River which runs down to Lake Superior The Pic flows easily into the top of High Falls

Sonya and I had to walk about 3.5 kilometers into the falls

High Falls has a drop of of over 30 meters

High falls is a wonderful place but unfortunately it now belongs to the Pic River First Natives band who have signed a deal to have it dammed over for hydro power. Apparently the plan is to have this done within about 5 years :(
