Sigmund Thun Gorge

The Sigmund Thun Gorge is one of the attractions located in Kaprun

The water of the Kapruner Ache river is fed by a glacier

The gorge named after Count Thun who visited here in 1895
In more recent times a wooden walkway has been built along the length

The river has cut some 30 meters into the rock to form the gorge

There is a constant stream of water raining down

The water has been carving this rocks for thousands of years

Here we were trying to get an affect with the camera where the water flows smoothly

Sonya trying not to get wet

This picture shows how smooth the rocks have become from the constant water flow

A nice view of the river running through the gorge
