The Krimml Waterfalls ( May 2014 )
The Krimml Waterfalls are the highest in Europe  
 Here we can see the entire falls, a drop of over 380 meters 
The path up the falls begins in a forested area as part of the High Tauern National Park  
  
John is enjoying the first of 3 main segments of the falls  
  
 There is a split between the first and second segments 
  
 The bottom part of the split 
 The path beside the falls was first created in 1879 
 The Krimml Waterfalls is the 5th highest in the world  
  
 At this time of the year, May, the waterflow is around 20,000 meters cubed per hour

At the top the river evens out again   
  
The falls are fed by the Krimmler Ache river  
 Above the falls here the river extends for a far distance  being fed by many small rivers flowing
from a glacial source
